Job Summary 

The primary duty is to design and deliver instructor led technical enablement programs and support the end-to-end development of technical training and certification development as a SME/Developer, including (but not limited to) exam item writing, course materials creation, lab design and management. The role requires interaction with the extended executive leadership team of Veeam. 

Responsibilities 

  • Drives incremental improvement in technical enablement programs across the organization. 
  • Collaborates with Learning Experience Designers and vendors to produce engaging training materials for all technical audiences (internal, customers, partners, etc.). 
  • Creates items and completes technical accuracy review of Veeam certification exams. 
  • Ability to develop the following kinds of material for internal and external use: Educational presentations in PowerPoint, (willingness to learn) basic eLearning development, Job Aids, Lab Guides 
  • Establish & manage relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders outside of the department. 
  • Produce video walkthroughs and write step-by-step instructions for Veeam solutions. Helps support & develop department best practices, policies, and structure. 
  • Own, design, & manage the lab environment for the Global Sales Acceleration lab. 
  • Own, design, & manage the lab environment on the Skillable platform.  
  • Build supporting lab deployment guide for education centers to use in their own data centers. 
  • Participates in the creation of associated Veeam technical certification exams and completes technical accuracy reviews to ensure alignment. 
  • Collaborate with different teams to ensure the alignment of training programs with business goals and technological advancements. 

Requirements

  • Bachelors' (ideally Masters') degree in engineering, computer science or business administration a plus 
  • 5 years’ experience as a Technical Instructor and/or Technical Course Developer 
  • Desired Certifications: VMware VCP, Veeam VMCE 
  • Subject Matter Expert in at least one high growth technical discipline: VMware, Data Protection, Veeam Experience, Storage Experience, Networking Experience, Virtualization Experience  
  • Experience with implementation of information systems  
  • A propensity for thinking like a user and writing supporting courseware they need 
  • A talent for identifying updates and changes that will impact users and courseware materials 
  • Ability to dive into technical details and learn about product features and core customer benefits  
  • Experience in curriculum development, building technical training programs in a channel environment within the IT, ideally software industry. 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter. 
  • Able to travel up to 20% of the time with some international travel (VISAs will be required). 

Other desirable experience & skills 

  • Experience with Veeam Data Platform or similar offering.  
  • Familiarity with certification standards such as ANSI or ISO.  

Reporting, Relationships, & Accountability 

Directly reports to the Director of Design & Development, as well has having a regular reporting cadence to other Veeam leadership.
