You are inspirational and conceptual, but above all dedicated to the visual craft of design.
As a Design Manager in the Design Studios team, you will be a creative thought- leader with an excellent design background who will lead, guide, mentor, and motivate a team of designers in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

You will work with our consulting teams, lead, and oversee design projects end-to-end by executing complex and ambiguous briefs with minimal direction by translating business language and processes into creative ideas, concepts, and engaging stories to achieve their vision and to leverage storytelling in compliance with BCG standards.

You’ll lead and develop creative briefs that capture the business challenge, build timelines, ensure all deadlines are met, communicate with clients, and have the ability to conceptualize and ideate creative solutions, support all design decisions with creative, strategic and/or business reasoning, present creative concepts and discuss ideas to internal clients. Leading and coordinating on multiple creative projects at one time, you’ll drive the execution of creative projects ensuring clients are satisfied with the quality of final result. You will provide leadership and inculcate innovative thinking to the Design team and establish rich and engaging partnerships with BCG Consulting teams. As a Design Manager you will be guiding Designers in the team from associate to senior level, providing guidance, direction, training, and support throughout their career development.

  • You excel at working in partnership with key stakeholders to drive the execution of design projects by leading the Design team.

  • You’re able to deliver results to drive multi-vertical projects, from brief to final deliverables, while maintaining a deep knowledge of other creative verticals like Video, Digital, Content, and Creative Strategy.

  • You’re eager to manage the production and process of all assets for case and proposal work together with the Project Manager and Creative Strategist on large-scale projects.

  • You have the ability to lead, manage, and oversee multiple creative projects at a time, including building ad hoc teams, ensuring that all deadlines are met, providing
    guidance, and ensuring that clients are satisfied with the quality of the result, while troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the project’s duration and
    communicating effectively under stressful circumstances.

  • You have a gift for making conceptual decisions and creating layouts, mock-ups, and prototypes to illustrate designs, experiences, and ideas to team members and
    stakeholders.

  • You enjoy providing and receiving regular feedback and ensuring effective communication and high satisfaction levels between the team and consultants, even
    under stressful circumstances.

  • You’re able to lead, guide, mentor, and motivate a creative team of Designers (Associate to Senior Designer level), provide innovative thinking to the Design team,
    and develop and implement trainings.

  • You’re skilled at solving problems under a consultative approach, ensuring adequate communication with stakeholders while managing potential interruptions and issues encountered during the project execution through effective decision-making.

  • You’re eager to lead and drive business pitches and present creative concepts, mockups, and new and innovative ideas to internal and external clients.

  • You have structured self-organization and strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills. You are flexible, resilient, and highly committed, with a
    confident manner and the proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and highly innovative design environment.

  • You are energized by design challenges that require discovery, thought partnership, innovative thinking, and team collaboration, and you are equally up to the challenge of creating great work as an individual contributor
    • You have 6-8 years of experience in a Professional services environment/ Design start-ups/ Design Agencies.

    • Bachelor's degree in Design/Graphic Design/Fine Arts or related field (or equivalent job education)

    • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro etc.) as well as industry standard prototyping tools, such as Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, etc. MS Office (interactive PowerPoint). An understanding of HTML5 and CSS would be helpful.

    • Excellent knowledge of visual design, visual theory (i.e. composition, color theory, typography, etc.), a sharp eye for layout design and high affinity to latest design trends and new media (Augmented/Virtual Reality, Social Media etc.)  and a mastery in free-hand illustrations and/or digital drawings

    • Experience with AR/VR wearables and/or IoT devices is a plus.

    • Experience with 3D and motion design is a plus

    • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your creative thinking and design aesthetics.
