About the role
As part of the global Accenture M+C Post Merger Integration (PMI) Team, you will join colleagues in Costa Rica and our Americas virtual hub, to Lead M+C PMI on acquisitions, and partner with Accenture Corporate Development PMI, M+C, corporate functions, and business teams, and the acquired company, to deliver brand equity transfer, from announcement to full integration, through a series of strategic joint M+C activities that support commercial growth and cultivate a sense of belonging amongst acquired employees for a range of Accenture acquisitions.
Your responsibilities
You will work in collaboration with leaders and teams across Accenture and the acquired company to create, manage and execute a tailored M+C transition strategy and plan, that leverages the best of both organizations, transfers M+C activities and brand equity from the acquired company to Accenture, aligned to the brand strategy—through strong planning, stakeholder management and strategic alignment.
This will include but is not limited to:
Working alongside the M+C Deal Phase Team to set up the deal for strong PMI support, helping to identify possible areas that will require explicit focus during the integration.
Positioning V&A M+C as a strategic and expert PMI partner, that provides guidance and delivers best practices for successful M+C integration of each Accenture acquisition.
Work in collaboration with the Accenture and acquired company business, PMI workstream and M+C leads to deliver a strategic, integrated M+C plan that evaluates and evolves the M+C activities and brand equity from the acquired company to Accenture, working to an agreed brand integration timeline, with a series of milestones along the journey.
Help guide the review and recommendations for any acquired marketers.
Work with specialist Accenture global and local M+C, and other Corporate Functions and PMI, teams to create and refine enhanced processes, and deliver best practices across data privacy (DP), stories, events, recruitment marketing and people engagement to reduce risk and talent attrition, setting up the acquired business to best deliver sales and growth.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related.
Advanced English proficiency required.
Around 6 years of working in marketing and communications. Experience of working with acquisitions as part of a large global organization or remote team would be valuable.
Developing and managing complex integrated M+C strategies and plans.
Managing multiple stakeholders to deliver on time and in line with best practices.
Managing and influencing senior stakeholders.
Finding and implementing solutions to complex business challenges.
Working as part of a remote team, preferably in a global role.
Skills:
A passion for marketing and a can-do attitude.
Strong organizational, program, time and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet milestones, tight deadlines and communicate status on concurrent projects.
Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation, conflict management and executive stakeholder management skills, including of senior business leaders
Strong collaboration with global and local M+C, and business teams—ideally remotely.
Excellent communication skills in English are required for this role, including the ability to digest and communicate complex issues and ideas clearly and persuasively.
Ability to work effectively on multiple projects across functional and geographic groups at the same time, and deliver to deadlines, with minimal supervision.
Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a virtual, problem-solving environment.
Team player.
Sensitivity to the cultural variances across different countries.
Consideration:
Willingness and flexibility to participate in meetings outside of regular business hours from time-to-time, to accommodate acquisition integrations in different time zones.
