Bid Specialist – JLL
 

What this job involves:

As a Bid Specialist at JLL, you will provide critical support for presales solution development and bid-response activities, working closely with Sales Leads and Proposal Managers to create compelling, client-focused RFP responses. You will own the development of first baseline draft responses by leveraging proposal databases and baseline libraries, while gradually taking on end-to-end RFP development responsibilities. This role requires strong content writing and editing skills, the ability to coordinate with subject matter experts across business lines, and a proactive approach to researching opportunities and tailoring responses to client needs. You will contribute directly to JLL's business development success by delivering high-quality qualification materials and proposal content that showcase JLL's service lines, business dynamics, and competitive value proposition.
 

What your day-to-day will look like:
 

  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Leads and proposal manager to provide support for varied presales solution aspects, including bid-response.

  • Lead the kick-off calls, coordinate with department heads to identify specific stakeholders for individual bids, and act as the main contact-point for process execution.

  • Manage the bid portals and provide regular updates to Bid Managers/Directors on projects in the pipeline.

  • Complete first baseline draft RFP response, proactively pulling baselines from proposal databases & baselines libraries.

  • Gradually, start developing RFP’s end to end, while actively engaging with Sales Lead or Project Managers and/or Account Team.

  • Own the development of tailored CVs/Bios/Case studies working with the business lines and SMEs.

  • Engage with all organizational SMEs to ensure that their inputs are incorporated in a timely manner.

  • Undertake research on customer and opportunity and gather competitive information to feed into bid-evaluation process and responses.

  • Contribute to the development of slides for bid presentations in PowerPoint, in coordination with the proposal manager, bid coordinator, and graphic design specialists.

  • Assist in preparing qualification and client proposal materials by bringing the best of the practice and delivering high quality client development materials.

  • Identify unique questions & responses in completed bids, and update the baselines with new content or coordinate with KM colleagues to have this closed .

  • Ability to understand company’s service lines, business dynamics, and value proposition, and showcase the same through accurate, comprehensive and well-written draft responses .

  • Ability to share ideas, display proactiveness, ownership of individual tasks, contribute to team projects, and ensuring closure in strict timelines.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, 1 year of proposal editing and writing experience is preferred

  • Advanced English level

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to present and discuss ideas, plans, and viewpoints effectively with all levels of staff

  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) with strong formatting and document development capabilities

  • High attention to detail with consistent ability to deliver high-quality outputs

  • Able to work on strict turnaround times with a problem-solving approach

  • Strong content writing and content/knowledge management skills
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Proposal Management or Support from a reputed firm

  • Functional proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); advanced formatting/design skills will be a plus

  • SharePoint experience, including creating lists, libraries, and sites

  • Experience in the real estate industry, especially construction or project management

  • Teamwork orientation, quick learning ability, resourcefulness, and strong ideation skills

  • Flexibility to support urgent client submissions during peak hours or after-office hours
