Business Analyst - Healthcare IT

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for development teams
• Develop and maintain BRDs, FRDs, and user stories
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, development, project management) to ensure deliverables align with requirements
• Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements, particularly within healthcare IT workflows
• Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and UAT sessions
• Create mockups, process flows, and wireframes to support requirement clarity
• Support change management activities and perform impact analysis
• Ensure solutions comply with healthcare regulations and industry standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2 to 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within Healthcare IT
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Hands-on experience in developing BRDs, FRDs, and acceptance criteria
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with LIMS platforms is an advantage
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HIPAA, HL7, or similar compliance frameworks is a plus
• Relevant certifications (CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, PMI-ACP) are a plus
