Position Summary:

The Buyer supports material availability, supplier coordination, and data accuracy to help ensure production and customer commitments are met. This position collaborates closely with cross functional partners and suppliers, gaining exposure to core supply chain processes in a global, people first organization.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Review and release purchase orders aligned with planning signals to support timely material availability and cost objectives
• Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders, including standard and drop ship orders
• Monitor open orders and partner with suppliers to support on time delivery
• Review order confirmations and maintain accurate delivery information in enterprise systems
• Monitor planning messages such as pull ins, push outs, and cancellations to help balance supply and inventory levels
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers
• Communicate supplier related risks or issues and partner with sourcing and internal teams to support resolution
• Help ensure materials are available to meet production and operational needs
• Identify potential supply risks and contribute to actions that support continuity of operations
• Maintain accurate and timely data for items, suppliers, and purchase orders in ERP systems
• Support resolution of invoice discrepancies related to pricing or quantities in collaboration with Finance
• Assist with import and export activities in alignment with company policies
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, and other partners, communicating proactively and working effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Collaborate with internal and external suppliers

For This Role, You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience supporting purchasing, production scheduling, or supply chain planning activities
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar platforms
• Working knowledge of material planning concepts and supply chain processes
• Basic understanding of manufacturing environments, engineering documentation, and cost considerations
• Awareness of import/export requirements and international trade terms
• Proficiency with common business tools, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
