Job Overview

The Group Engineering Lead drives the team to meet deadlines, ensures guidelines and processes are documented, and growthe team, both in size and skills. The Team Lead in this position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including drafting, design, manufacturing, tooling, and quality areas. The principal focus will be to apply People Management methodologies and Project Management methodologies to ensure both people's growth and company goals are met, while maintaining strong alignment and synchrony across teams and project activities. 

Responsibilities

  • Meet engineering requirements, executing strategic business goals, and managing engineers. 
  • Lead the development of the team through challenging technical aspects of product, career planning discussions and strategic objective setting
  • Drive strategy, create roadmaps, build efficiencies around engineering and development strategies
  • Focus on the structuring and operation of the CAD-MFG-CMS Engineer team as a cohesive unit; the conceptualization and day-to-day management of simultaneous projects; delivering tasks to agreed specifications within time and budget constraints, and the fostering of innovative solutions to cater to internal and external customer needs 
  • Work with various teams to identify CADMFG and CMS support needsschedule workload based on priorities set by management. 
  • Manage assigned projects applying PM methodologies, while also coaching the team members to apply them. 
  • Manage multiple customers and engineering areas, ensuring scope and deliverables are clear and met on time
  • Create, Maintain KPIs Reports and present to management Team Performance. 
  • Execute Performance Reviews for Team Members.

Required

  • 5+ Years as People Manager in a Engineering Field. 
  • Project Management experience applying PMP methodologies. 
  • 5+ years of related experience working as an engineer directly or handling drafting in design roles 
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (Mechanical, Electromechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, etc.) 
  • Experience in creating and implementing new processes. 
  • Experience mentoring and providing technical training to team members. 

MUST HAVE:

  • Experience working with CAD Software like Inventor, PTC CREO Parametric, Solid Works Catia V5 or Catia V6, and Enovia. 
  • Data Analysis background.  
  • PBI. 
  • Power Apps 
  • Python-Scripting 
  • Data Management. 
  • Experience working in similar industry. 
  • Engineering drawing practices using American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Y14.100 and Y14.24.
