What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform all clinical data management deliverables for assigned clinical studies.

  • Participate in client meetings and provide data management expertise and support.

  • Understand study implementation requirements and clinical data collection processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to develop study-specific edit check criteria.

  • Define, execute, review, and maintain edit checks while resolving data discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and current study documentation.

  • Support study setup activities including database structure, specifications, testing, and approvals.

  • Coordinate, document, and manage the receipt and processing of electronic and ancillary data from external sources, including sponsors, CROs, and laboratories.

  • Monitor study progress and communicate project status updates to management.

  • Review clinical data to identify inconsistencies, errors, and quality concerns.

  • Partner with project teams to investigate and resolve data issues in a timely manner.

  • Track outstanding discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow-up through resolution.

  • Ensure all clinical data management activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements and company standards.

  • Adhere to departmental procedures, policies, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of departmental standards and processes.

  • Participate in the review and maintenance of data management-related SOPs.

  • Support team objectives through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain technical and industry knowledge through ongoing professional development and company-sponsored training.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical data management, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or contract research organization (CRO) environment.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases, data validation principles, and database management processes.

  • Experience reviewing, cleaning, and validating clinical trial data.

  • Familiarity with SAS is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Access.

  • Understanding of clinical trial processes, terminology, and regulatory expectations.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a collaborative team environment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to maintain a professional, positive, and customer-focused approach.
