ArcelorMittal Costa Rica is commercialized steels products in Central America and Caribbean, specially constructions products and solutions to industry.

 

Your role 

Plan and direct the company's strategic plan to ensure the alignment of the culture, processes, structure and resources with the business strategy, to guarantee operational continuity and reliability, profitability, shareholder dividends and high organizational performance. At the same time is the legal representative of AMCR in view of government entities in Costa Rica.

 

Main tasks 

  • Design the strategy to promote the company's products and services in the country aligned with the mission, respecting the company's policies and procedures;
  • Optimize logistics, increasing the company's profitability;
  • Guarantee financial operations, ensuring optimal performance that allows the profitability and flow of the company;
  • Manage the budget, optimizing expenses;
  • Ensure compliance with policies and compliance issues by AMCR employees;
  • Represent the company before government entities;
  • Provide coaching and leadership ensuring the development of the skills of your direct team;
  • Create an AMCR growth and sustainability strategy;
  • Monitor the progress of strategic projects;
  • Research and analyse market opportunities, develop commercial proposals and negotiate them;
  • Ensure that the company's operation complies with social, political, environmental, labour laws and regulations applied in the country;
  • Guarantee compliance and execution of internal company procedures and policies, with the aim of minimizing risks;
  • Control the development and implementation of plans for excellence in Safety, Health and Environment management.

 

Profile

  • University degree Engineering, Administration o related field. MBA is a plus;
  • 15 years’ experience in High Leadership role;
  • A desire to make a positive impact on people, communities and our planet;
  • A passion for problem-solving;
  • Creativity and critical thinking skills;
  • Enthusiasm and energy;
  • A collaborative team player;
  • Change management;
  • Negotiation Skills; 
  • Strategy Thinking; 
  • Ability to get the best out of diverse teams;
  • Effective communication skills in Spanish and English.

 

It’s a plus if you also have experience in a company producing in shifts.

 

Other important details

  • Full time position, based in Costa Rica;
  • Spanish speaking is mandatory.

 

Other roles

  • Our country Manager is part of Board of Director of ArcelorMittal Costa Rica; 
  • Representative before government entities;
  • Direct Executive Committee for AMCR.
