Job Summary
This remarkable opportunity at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. allows you to play a vital role in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for our category management team. You will be responsible for performing spot buys, sourcing events, and activities related to multiple categories, ensuring detailed completion and world-class outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily oversight and management of key projects that support ongoing business functions
- Collaborate with internal collaborators, division procurement partners, and category owners to ensure direct materials projects meet expectations
- Coordinate pulse surveys to evaluate business and supplier engagement/happiness
- Drive project optimization and growth
- Devise plans for risk reduction, maintaining business operations, and controlling expenses
- Manage supplier performance and relationships, advancing concerns as needed
- Engage with partners in progressive strategic evolution and establish rapport
- Lead the development and implementation of tools and applications for managing suppliers
- Deliver mentorship and guidance to junior sourcing generalists concerning category-specific demands
- Manage a team of sourcing professionals

Experience & Qualification
- 8+ years’ experience in procurement/sourcing (Direct Materials)
- 5+ years managing people
- Degree or equivalent experience in business administration, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field
- High level of proficiency in the English language (verbal and written)
- MBA (desired)
