Financial Systems Analyst – Santa Ana, Costa Rica

In this role you will contribute to the administration, maintenance and development of recommendations for automated financial reporting processes and procedures through use of applicable reporting tools and software.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monitoring and administration of the systems we support, not from a technical perspective but from the tasks that are carried out daily on them.
  • Create, maintain and distribute financial analysis reports used for businesses unit financial books, analyses, executive and WU reporting, etc.
  • Support and maintain users who use these applications to perform their daily tasks.
  • Responsible for the daily reporting process of the banks, including the process of importing files into the system and the subsequent export of these to different applications that receive this data from us, all in compliance with the defined SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to banking transactions, account statements and balances, coordinate the resolution of these issues with other levels of support, R&D, vendors and technical or operation teams involved.
  • Responsible for the implementation and administration of third-party banking platforms. These include performing all the paperwork for creating and modifying users, requesting security devices and any other necessary configurations.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation on current and new procedures and providing training for new hires when necessary.
  • Maintaining constant communication with our internal customers allows us to identify possible opportunities for improvement in terms of satisfaction with the services we offer, and, in the processes, they carry out with our applications, as well as any other form of value that we can add.
  • Acts as an Oracle database resource on financial reporting and planning needs.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is desirable, preferably in Information Technology, Treasury, Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in areas related to customer support or finance and accounting.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, familiar with accounting functions to execute accounting-related data analysis techniques.
  • Effective communicator, with excellent soft skills and the ability to work well with multiple teams and individuals.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to act proactively and a high sense of urgency, to effectively prioritize work and find prompt solutions for users that avoid delaying the operation.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple support tickets, projects and deadlines simultaneously.
