FP&A Manager

Job Description:

Huntsman is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager supporting the Global Reporting & Analysis Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Director, Finance Projects and PU Financial Reporting.

Job Scope

This role leads financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting for one of Huntsman’s business divisions. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager partners closely with business and functional leaders, manages a small FP&A team, and delivers clear financial insights to support decision-making and performance management.

In summary, as the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will:

• Lead monthly close, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the assigned business division, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of financial results.

• Develop and deliver high-quality management reporting and presentations that translate financial results into clear insights and recommendations.

• Partner with business leaders to support strategic initiatives, new projects, and investment decisions through robust financial analysis.

• Manage, coach, and develop two FP&A analysts, providing clear direction, feedback, and growth opportunities.

• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve FP&A processes, tools, and data quality.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements.

• Support special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by management.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Candidates must be willing to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our office located in AFZ, Heredia. Additional office days may be required as needed or during corporate visits.

Minimum Qualifications

Education required:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field

Experience required:

• 6+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance roles

• Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, or mentoring FP&A analysts or junior finance professionals

Skills and knowledge

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with IBM Planning Analytics and PowerBI preferred

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Critical view on data accuracy

• Strategic and analytical thinking

• A willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner

• A resourceful self-starter with the commitment and drive to set and then meet or exceed high standards and objectives

• Strong and open communication skills with team members and across diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Planning Analytics and PowerBI (if not already listed under required)

• Other experience managing FP&A teams in a corporate environment
