Who We're Looking For

This position primarily manages product development programs or projects involving cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product through the implementation process while also looking to maximize the opportunity for revenue.

This position is also responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities and resources across multiple disciplines to ensure that the program or project goals are accomplished on time, within budget and meet business objectives.

This role will serve as a leader and mentor for the Implementation Project Managers, will onboard new team members, develop team skills and abilities and champion Syniverse’s values within the team.

Scope of the Role:  

  • Direct Reports: This is a management role with direct reports.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and lead the day-to-day activities of a team implementation project and revenue professionals.    

  • Guide/influence internal departments to meet, assess, and identify revenue producing opportunities providing project scope and customer solution prior to customer contract/ signature. 

  • Drive improvements of the existing implementation and revenue management process to increace efficiency in project completion and revenue forecast. 

  • Project planning, estimating, controlling, tracking, reporting. 

  • Develop and direct the implementation of comprehensive operational plans for new products/services. 

  • Provide guidance to Implementation personnel with the handling of customer problems, issues, questions, and ensure employees have the necessary tools, training and soft skill development to be successful. 

  • Conduct quality monitoring of customer support interactions. 

  • Support the continuous improvement objective by assisting with identification, development and integration of process improvements. 

  • Work with billing, finance and accounting to ensure that revenue is recognized as early as possible 

  • Identify revenue gaps and opportunities for revenue acceleration early in the process and communicate those to sales and finance management  

 

 Experience, Education, and Certifications:  

  • 8+ years of equivalent work experience. 

  • PMP certification is preferred. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area preferred. 

  • Desirable understanding of Telecommunication industry product and services to include: Number Portability, Location Services, Networking (LAN/WAN, SS7, Frame Relay, X.25), Signaling Protocols (GSM and IS41), cellular switch interoperability, and hardware and software platforms (Tandem and Unix). 

  • Strong working knowledge of Project Management principles . 

  • Strong knowledge of Project Management tools such as Niku Open Workbench or MS Project. 

  • Team Management experience is desired. 

  • Budget planning experience required. 

 

 Additional Requirements:  

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, team building, facilitation, conflict management, influence management, and negotiation skills are required. 

  • Experience in managing the delivery of products and services in a customer environment are required. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required to effectively interface and communicate with all levels of management. 

  • Demonstrate problem-solving ability 

  • Knowledge in Syniverse’s products is desired.
