Accounting Lead

Location: San Jose, Costa Rica (Hybrid)

Based in Costa Rica, you’ll be part of a dynamic corporate accounting team that drives financial excellence across continents.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with corporate and local accounting teams to apply global intercompany accounting standards.
• Lead communication and implementation of intercompany policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate accounting across multiple legal entities and ledgers (US & local GAAP).
• Review intercompany financial results and resolve discrepancies through matching analysis.
• Oversee monthly journal entries and global netting processes for intercompany settlements.
• Manage intercompany loans, interest calculations, and month-end close activities.
• Support audits, tax requests, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Identify and lead process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between treasury, tax, and accounting teams for global transactions.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with a Big 4 firm or large public company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Passion for process improvement and technology-driven solutions.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
