Job Overview

Modality: Full-time on-site (Avionyx - AFZ - Heredia)

 

Avionyx is searching for a Full time IT Assistant to provide support in maintaining a continuous operation of the business in IT topics by helping users with IT needs such as, hardware & software troubleshooting, preparing computers for first use and setting up new hires with all all-required systems, running diagnostics, among other related tasks. The IT Assistant is expected to assist in solving critical issues of the IT environment but not lead the problem-solving process, unless authorized to do so if proficiency on the relevant areas is demonstrated.

Responsibilities

  • Help users with IT problems related to computers.
  • Prepare and configure computers to meet business needs.
  • Perform diagnostics on computers and detect problems.
  • Replace defective computer hardware parts and UPS batteries.
  • Monitor operating systems updates and maintain all computers up to date.
  • Monitor and maintain all antivirus software up to date.
  • Assist in maintaining off-premises company assets documentation.
  • Manage software & hardware inventory software.
  • Assist in solving any other IT related concerns of all employees in the company.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical studies or certification in computer repair, computer maintenance, or networking (in progress or completed).
  • Experience with computer hardware assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating system configuration.
  • Familiarity with computer diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server administration.
  • Basic knowledge of configuring network devices such as firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Knowledge of WAN and LAN network setup and configuration.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+).
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Service-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
