This is a remote position for Costa Rica and Colombia.
This position is Remote to work with a US Company; you will require to have Citizenship or a work permit from Costa Rica or Colombia to apply for this role.

A day on the job looks like this:

• Develop, debug & maintain large-scale eCommerce Java web applications on proprietary eCommerce platform supporting all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Write top-notch Java code following industry standards and best practices.
• Have a customer-centric attitude with conviction in digging deep into solving customer issues.
• Articulate pathways for quickly solving customer issues and removing impediments during their shopping experience.
• Create & maintain technical and on-call documentation.
• Have familiarity with Oracle DB to create and execute queries.
• Have familiarity with Linux commands to work on Linux-based systems.
• Have familiarity with Git, Docker, Maven, and Ant scripts to work seamlessly on a local development environment.
• Have familiarity with Jira to works on life cycle of tickets.
• Have basic familiarity with B2C & B2B commerce infrastructures.
• Have basic familiarity of front end technologies eg.  HTML/CSS/Javascript
• Ensure high quality of code delivery with thorough unit testing.
• Have familiarity with jUnit test cases to cover various unit testing scenarios.
• Work closely with QA team to help reproduce production issues and identify other affected areas.
• Work closely with DevOps team to understand build & deployment processes.
• Work closely with IT team to evaluate performance impact and articulate steps on improving them.
• Work closely with ERP team to cater to their integration needs and ensure resilient production and consumption of messages between the systems.
• Communicate effectively in ways that peers/stakeholders are clear on problem statements, user impact, high level technical resolution and future aspects of a task in hand.
• Participate in oncall rotations.

• College degree in Computer Science, or similar.
• Minimum of 2+ years strong experience working with complex java based applications.
• Ability to work within a talented pool of people collaborating with others effectively and respectfully.
• Sense of urgency to jump on problems, provide status & progress in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong customer focus and outstanding communication skills.
• Knowledge of tools such as FullStory, AppDynamics, SoapUI, Postman is a plus.
