Job Summary

The Specialist will review and evaluate accommodation requests and medical substantiation information for select accommodations. Based upon guidance provided, will recommend appropriate accommodation options to leaders

 

This associate will provide leaders with direction on accommodation requests and ensure appropriate decisions are made in a timely, efficient, and effective manner, including escalation to the COE where necessary.

 

The Sr. Specialist will be responsible for generating various reports and taking appropriate actions based on the report type and required action. This role will verify data requests from vendors and audit requests from leaders or reports for termination, ensuring proper action is taken.

 

This individual will ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act (ADAAA), Family and Medical Leave Act, and any state employment and privacy laws surrounding employees and candidates with disabilities.

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Monitors Accommodation cases within ServiceNow, providing follow up to leader and associate via email, where necessary.
  • Engages in conversation with leaders when associates are requesting accommodations
  • Reviews and evaluates accommodation requests and medical substantiation information for select accommodations. Based upon guidance provided, recommends appropriate accommodation options to leaders.
  • Responds to inquiries from hiring managers, HR partners or talent acquisition regarding applicant accommodations
  • Contributes to knowledge articles, training, and accommodation team repository of offered accommodations
  • Escalates questions or concerns, including inability to accommodate, associate leave request and complex cases for guidance to Tier 3 Leaves and Accommodations
  • Provides support to associates/leaders that have questions about accommodations or need help understanding how to navigate the knowledge articles
  • Maintains system records to ensure accurate and timely information/documentation
  • Monitor case management system, email, and Teams to ensure that cases and inquiries are being handled timely and accurately, within appropriate SLAs
  • Supports reporting for accommodation cases, as needed, with assistance from our vendor or other functional stakeholders
  • Support the maintenance of an accommodation repository, which will be utilized internally by the Accommodation team to track offered accommodations.
  • Generates and analyzes reports, reviews vendor and leader request for the Leave andAccommodation Team, taking proper action, based upon provided direction/guidance.
  • Conducts periodic audits of various associate leaves and accommodations processes

Skills and Experience

 

Academic


Advanced student in Human Resources, business administration, or related field

 

Experience

  • Case management experience in the ADA/ disability/workers’ compensation/FMLA arena
  • 1 year of experience managing disability accommodation cases or a similar HR role
  • Subject matter knowledge in ADA and FMLA
  • Experience with an ERP system (Workday preferred)
  • Experience working for a multi-national firm
  • Experience in a shared service center environment
  • Experience and understanding of enabling Technologies (e.g., case management) and how they work within a customer service business environment
  • English Level of a B2+
  • Computer skills and experience
