Your role at Baxter

The Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic execution of collection operations within the Order to Cash (O2C) process. This position involves coordinating a team of supervisors and/or experienced analysts to ensure alignment with company goals related to DSO, past due percentage, and bad debt. The Manager collaborates cross-functionally with Credit, Disputes, Cash Applications, and Sales to implement standard methodologies, optimize processes, and deliver outstanding results. The ideal candidate will bring robust leadership, analytical thinking, and business insight to improve performance and champion continuous improvement across various countries or business units!

What you'll be doing

  • We provide strategic leadership for all areas of the O2C collections process, including setting long-term goals and driving operational execution.

  • We lead and develop a team of supervisors and/or senior analysts; oversee larger and more sophisticated teams across geographies.

  • We coach and empower frontline leaders to effectively manage their teams and deliver on performance metrics.

  • We set and monitor critical metrics associated with collections efficiency, dispute resolution, and overdue reduction; recognize and respond to trends.

  • We collaborate with senior leadership in Credit, Sales, Disputes, and Cash Apps to resolve issues, remove barriers, and agree on goals.

  • We handle blocking issues and customer negotiations with a focus on strategic outcomes and long-term relationships.

  • We champion continuous improvement initiatives, bringing to bear root cause analysis and process design thinking to drive balanced change.

  • We develop and enforce policies, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and internal controls.

  • We lead talent development efforts, including succession planning, career pathing, and training programs for high-performing teams.

  • We ensure optimal team structure and resource allocation to support workload and business needs.

  • We present operational results, risk assessments, and strategic proposals to executive stakeholders.

  • We act as change leader in support of transformation initiatives within the function or broader organization.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics. MBA or similar postgraduate degree is a must.

  • 10+ years of dynamic experience in Collections / Order to Cash (OTC/O2C), with at least 2 years in a managerial role leading leaders or large teams.

  • Consistent track record in reducing overdue balances and improving DSO.

  • Experience in multi-country or regional operations is strongly preferred.

  • Background in process improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

  • English C1 proficiency or higher
