Description

As a key member of the Integration Services organization, the Integration Developer will play a strategic role in architecting, designing, and delivering scalable integration solutions for enterprise wide business processes across Emerson. This role requires deep expertise in Integration platforms (MuleSoft, Azure APIM, MFT(MoveIT) along with strong technical leadership in API led connectivity, solution design, performance optimization, and integration governance.
You will lead complex integration initiatives, guide junior team members, and collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure robust, secure, and high-quality integration solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
 

Architectural & Technical Leadership

  • Lead the design and architecture of end‑to‑end integration solutions using MuleSoft or equivalent enterprise integration platforms.
  • Define integration patterns, reusable frameworks, best practices, and governance guidelines.
  • Drive API‑led architecture adoption, ensuring alignment with enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

Design & Development

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise-grade integration services, APIs, and flows with focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Review and improve solution designs, code quality, and deployment processes.
  • Implement advanced transformations, orchestration, and error‑handling strategies.

Quality, Performance & Delivery Excellence

  • Conduct deep‑dive analysis to isolate issues, optimize performance, and ensure high‑availability integrations.
  • Lead unit testing, system integration testing, and support UAT cycles.
  • Mentor and guide developers in code reviews, troubleshooting, and solution‑building.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with architecture teams, business stakeholders, and product owners to translate requirements into robust integration solutions.
  • Provide proactive and transparent communication to leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Collaborate in a distributed team environment and support global delivery.

Support, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee production integrations and drive root‑cause analysis for critical incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with integration security, logging, monitoring, and operational standards.
  • Research and evaluate emerging integration technologies, API management frameworks, and automation tools to drive innovation.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 5–8+ years of professional experience in Integration/API development.
  • Hands‑on expertise with MuleSoft, including development, deployment, API lifecycle management, and platform best practices.
  • Strong understanding of integration architecture, design principles, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Advanced working knowledge of XML, JSON, XSLT, XSD, and XQuery.
  • Expertise in file transfer technologies (MFT) and protocols such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS.
  • Strong understanding of messaging standards including SOAP, REST, Async messaging, and event‑driven integration.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational database concepts.
  • Proven experience independently resolving complex integration issues in production environments.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers.
  • Flexibility to support off‑hours deployments and critical incident resolutions.
  • Advanced English skills
 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • MuleSoft certifications (Developer/Architect).
  • Experience with Java, API security standards (OAuth2, JWT), microservices, and cloud‑native design.
  • Exposure to Azure API Management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
