About the role:

 

The FPCRA Director is the end-to-end finance owner for the Operating Unit, accountable for the full spectrum from planning and forecasting through to controllership, reporting, and performance analytics.    

This role combines the responsibilities of Planning & Forecasting Director and Close & Control / Controllership Director, providing a single point of accountability for financial integrity, performance insight, and forward-looking outlooks. 

The FPCRA Director partners closely with the OU Finance Head to drive business strategy, acts as the gatekeeper of the OU’s financials, and ensures robust governance, controls, and high-quality decision support.  

The role leads a  team of managers who operate independently, exercising considerate judgment and delivering results across a broad span of control and disciplines. The Team may include a Gr5/Gr 6 by exception, for large/ complex cluster. The role will require close co-ordination with ‘Centre of Expertise’ based out of GCC or outsourced to Genpact and partnership with OU O2C & P2P Leads for the OU in order to drive end to end support for markets within the OUs.   

 

Key Responsibilities 

End-to-end Financial Ownership 

  • Own the end-to-end finance cycle for the OU, from forecasting and planning to actuals reporting and performance analysis 

  • Ensure financial results, outlooks, and narratives are accurate, consistent, and timely 

  • Act as the single point of accountability for integrity and accuracy of OU Financials 

Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management 

  • Lead all planning, forecasting, and update cycles for the OU 

  • Drive high-quality analytics, explaining key drivers, risks, and opportunities 

  • Support OU performance reviews with clear insights and forward-looking perspectives 

Controllership, Governance & Compliance 

  • Ensure robust financial controls, stewardship, and compliance across the OU 

  • Oversee statutory and management reporting, ensuring adherence to IFRS, Haleon policies, and local regulations 

  • Assume an active decision-making role to ensure that financial results are optimized in accordance with ethical and company standards. 

  • Take a pro-active stance to compliance. Solve compliance to build confidence. Act as escalation point for financial risks, control issues, and judgment based decisions 

Reporting & Analytics 

  • Set the standard for management reporting and analytics, ensuring clarity, consistency, and relevance 

  • Drive simplification, standardisation, and automation of reporting and analytics outputs 

  • Ensure strong linkage between actuals, forecasts, and business outlooks 

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management 

  • Develop a deep knowledge of business fundamentals, including the economic, commercial and regulatory environment, with attention to customer and competitor dynamics. Ensure accurate, timely reporting and analysis of financial results for the OU both for management and statutory purpose 

  • Partner with the OU Finance Head and business leadership to drive strategic and operational decisions 

  • Work closely with Group Controller, Consolidation, External Reporting,  Group FP&A, Tax, Treasury, to drive overall finance strategy for Haleon.  

  • Represent the OU in regional and global finance forums 

Continuous Improvement Drive 

  • Lead the development and management of continuous improvement strategies for the OU close, control, reporting, consolidation and forecasting processes, contributing to the broader finance function’s strategic direction and drive major projects with impact across the function and the wider business, in partnership with the Business Process Owner (BPO). 

Organisation & Capability Leadership 

  • Provide clear direction, role clarity, and performance expectations across the FPCRA organisation 

  • Lead and develop teams across FPCRA team 

  • Build a strong controllership and insight driven finance culture 

 

Breadth/Scope of Accountability - Provide details of any scope data relevant to the role e.g. the net sales that the role supports / generates or budget responsibility. OU responsibility for end-to-end financials – from actuals to forecast, analysis, compliance and governance
