The Impact You Will Make in this Role
As a Prescriber Documentation Specialist, you will support the collection of physician documents as required. Provides a high level of customer service in a competitive market. Review and analyze payer-specific requirements and coverage criteria to determine required physician documentation. Conduct a review of documentation (Order forms, medical records, prescriptions, operative reports, history, and physicals) as needed for physician identification. Escalate to customer or field personnel as needed to aid in obtaining physician documentation required for billing. This could include home health agencies, patients, hospitals/facilities, physicians.
Participates in work activities deemed suitable and assigned by management. Maintains status for all compliance and other required training courses. Conforms to, supports, and enforces all Company policies and procedures.
Requires repetitive keyboarding over 95% of the time and phone Inbound/outbound calls usage 80% of the time.
Your Skills and Expertise
Medical documentation requires attention to detail and experience with the electronic and paper systems used in healthcare services.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Sales and or collections background

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records systems, as the role may involve accessing and updating patient information within electronic medical records.
Attention to detail and accuracy, candidates must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while processing billing information and documentation.
Time management and organizational skills, prioritizing tasks, managing work efficiently, and meeting deadlines are essential.
Compliance knowledge, candidates should understand HIPAA regulations and other compliance standards governing patient privacy and healthcare billing practices.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience working in a post-acute care setting including Home Health Agencies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Wound Care Centers or with providers in this sector is a plus.
Work location:
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
