Job Summary

The IT Project Manager leads complex technology transitions across IT infrastructure, service desk, and end-user computing environments. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in IT operations and a track record of delivering large-scale migration and transformation projects on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption to the business

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management

  • Lead and manage full project lifecycle across IT migration and transition initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify, track, and report project risks and issues, with clear mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with IT teams, business stakeholders, end users, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure testing plans, deployment strategies, and rollback procedures are defined and executed.

Technical Oversight

  • Provide oversight on infrastructure design decisions and technology configurations.
  • Evaluate current-state environments against best practices and recommend improvements.
  • Guide technical teams during implementation, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and oversee creation of technical documentation.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including assessment reports, transition procedures, and lessons learned.
  • Ensure all documentation meets client standards and is kept current throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the development of training materials for internal IT teams and end users.
  • Deliver regular status reports and project dashboards to leadership and stakeholders.

 

Skills and Experience

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder reporting and executive updates.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end IT projects, from planning through go-live and hypercare.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on infrastructure or service delivery.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, endpoint management, and service desk operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual B2+ English (Spanish)

Nice to Haves:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Agile or hybrid delivery certifications.
  • Experience managing large-scale IT migrations or service desk transitions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft endpoint management technologies and cloud-based IT tooling.
  • Knowledge of ITSM best practices and IT infrastructure standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage parallel workstreams.
