Senior React Native Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to lead the development of our mobile applications across iOS and Android. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical ownership—guiding architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and acting as a key point of contact across cross-functional teams.
You will work closely with product, design, backend, and platform teams to deliver high-quality, performant mobile experiences while helping scale the team and codebase

Responsibilities:

- Own and drive development of key areas of the mobile application end-to-end
Architect, build, and maintain scalable React Native applications using modern
best practices
- Lead and mentor 1-2 junior/mid-level React Native engineers
- Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders (product,
design, backend)
- Translate product requirements into well-structured technical solutions
- Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices
- Debug production issues and continuously improve app performance and
reliability
- Collaborate on and contribute to shared frontend and BFF architecture

Must Have Qualifications:

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in TypeScript and React Native
- Proven experience building and shipping production-grade mobile apps (iOS &
Android)
- Experience with Expo EAS and modern React Native tooling
- Strong understanding of mobile performance, debugging, and optimization
techniques
- Experience owning features or product areas end-to-end
- Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively with cross-functional
teams
- Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers
- Solid understanding of API integration and client-server architecture

Nice to Have Qualifications:

- Familiarity with component libraries: Tamagui, Chakra UI
- Experience working with Backend-for-Frontend BFF layers: Node.js, Express
- Strong product sense and UX awareness
