The Contracting Specialist / Manager (Mandarin) is responsible for leading procurement contracting activities within the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle. The role applies strong contracting expertise, analytical skills, and sound business judgment to support the drafting, negotiation, and execution of procurement agreements.

This position works closely with sourcing, legal, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality contracts, ensure compliance with governance standards and playbooks, and support efficient contracting operations in a dynamic, global environment.

Mandarin language capability is preferred to support communication with suppliers and stakeholders in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing projects independently, from initiation through contract execution.

  • Drive negotiations for both incumbent renewals and competitive sourcing events (RFP/RFI), delivering measurable cost savings and value.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to identify improvement opportunities and optimize sourcing strategies.

  • Apply category knowledge to develop effective sourcing approaches aligned with business objectives.

  • Utilize ERP and sourcing tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Jaegger) to manage sourcing activities and ensure data accuracy.

  • Deliver high-quality project outputs within defined timelines and standards.

  • Prepare and present sourcing strategies, insights, and results to internal and client stakeholders, including global teams.

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations through strong analytical capabilities.

  • Influence stakeholders and drive alignment to achieve sourcing objectives.

  • Contribute innovative ideas and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall sourcing program.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (required).

  • Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or category management.

  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings and business value.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP and sourcing platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Jaegger, or similar tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

  • Experience working with cross-functional and global stakeholders, including senior leadership.

  • Ability to operate within strategic guidelines while exercising sound judgment in decision-making.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience managing projects or workstreams; team management experience is a plus.
