How you’ll make an impact:

  • Provide more complex EHS maintenance and testing (e.g., Fire Fighting System (Fire Hose, Fire Detectors, Extinguisher, Sprinklers, Fire Pump) Emergency Doors, Emergency Lights, Chemical and or other substances response Kits, Signs and Labels)

  • Perform more complex EHS Preventive Maintenance (Sprinkler System, emergency lamps, emergency doors, fire detection, eye wash showers, etc.).

  • Verify compliance of contractor personnel with safety rules for work to be done and sign work permits issued.

  • Perform daily inspection on safety conditions in CR buildings

  • Provide training and guidance to contractors, visitors, and employees on terms of EHS guidelines when required

  • Support the reception process of recycling company and maintain required documentation, identify and make recommendations for improvements of process, and take metrics of quantities to track compliance with EHS guidelines

  • Other incidental duties

What you’ll need:

  • High School Diploma Completed. Required

  • Technical Degree in Occupational Health, Workplace Health, or related field, completed. Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) processes. Required

  • Intermediate English level. Able to read and comprehend Required

  • Availability to work in Shift B (Monday to Friday 03.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.

  • Experience working in medical device industry or related industries (electronics, pharmaceutical, food industry or related). Preferred

What else we look for (preferred):

  • Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing

  • Good Communication skills.

  • Good MS office skills.

  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following detailed general instructions and general guidance on conducting special projects

  • Work in a Team environment, including inter-departmental teams and with other departments

  • Substantial knowledge of EHS maintenance, testing, and other related duties to the handling of hazardous waste materials, as well as ability to perform incident investigations

  • Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
