Responsibilities:

  • Order placement of raw materials, supplies, services and equipment.

  • Management of open orders to expedite / push out as per production schedule requirements.

  • Price negotiations.

  • Supplier Development.

  • Assist with inventory control and reduction plans for Raw Materials.

  • Member of the new product development team representing Purchasing.

  • Assist inventory control personnel to resolve inventory conflicts / discrepancies.

  • Initiate and maintain purchasing parameters (safety stock, lead-times etc.) in SAP ERP system.

  • Inter-company communications on material status as required.

  • Acts as key contact for vendors.

  • Reviews material requirements and orders as needed.

  • Assists Engineering Department to procure materials not yet required by production.

  • Assists Maintenance, Tooling as well as Production Department in purchasing auxiliary equipment, shop supplies, and other items as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience directly related to the job function.

  • Must have deep understanding of Medical Devices Industry.

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 or more years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or another related field.

  • SAP ERP/MRP experience is a Must.

  • English fluency is a must. B2-C1 level required.

  • Expertise in managing supplier contracts with key suppliers.

  • Experience in working on technical products with engineering and new product development teams.

  • Expertise with Lean Manufacturing, supplier partnerships and Just in Time (JIT) techniques such as Kanban.

  • Proficiency in MS Office software applications.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to communicate with all levels of Associates.

  • Must be a strong team player and have strong influencing skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.

  • Accurate and attention to detail.

  • Ability to assist and support others.
