We are looking for a Global Inventory Manager to join our team in Costa Rica. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and making an impact on our life-saving work, this may be a good fit for you! As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:

SUMMARY: Provides support to the organization with focus on Global Inventory planning scale up associated with the global corporate SIOP supported by Kinaxis APS. Directs and coordinates Inventory planning activities through alignment with supply chain site leaders to attain inventory management goals consistent with cost, quality and reliability. Co- Responsible along with Supply Chain Directors for the execution of the company’s inventory plan. Works with purchasing managers, planning manager, logistics manager to ensure timely scale up of new products and processes where there are inventory needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for coordinating personnel that estimates, and plan Inventory levels used to support assigned product lines.
  • Analyzes, recommends and implements processes and procedures to enhance inventory control procedures, minimizes loss, waste, and discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Develops Inventory budget along with supply chain Directors, participates and compiles statistics in the preparation and control of Inventory budgets.
  • Owns the Cycle count governance process along with Finance controllers ensuring application of the SOP, Work instruction and policies in all sites where there are inventory management needs.
  • May indirectly manage material handlers and warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with SOP, Work instruction and policies in all sites where there are inventory management needs.
  • Manage and train inventory staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinates with supply chain site leaders to Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Identifies and implements Lean Manufacturing and Process Excellence methods for the department.
  • Establishes and monitors execution goals adequate to meet schedule requirements while minimizing investment and obsolescence exposure.
  • Responds to and participates in corrective action implementation to observations identified in internal Inventory management audits along with finance controllers.
  • Keeps up-to-date systems and technology to promote cost effective utilization of resources.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the subordinate follows all company guidelines and policies.
  • Runs specific role within the SIOP process to ensure its team delivers Site’s supply response on time monthly and yearly
  • Owns some functions and responsibilities within the advance planning system Kinaxis
  • Lead by the example

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Have supervisory responsibilities: Yes

Leadership: Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, appraisal and work assignments of personnel.

Supervises:

  • Intern
  • Material handler
  • Warehouse supervisor
  • Inventory Planner

Supervision:

General Direction: receive very general guidance with respect to overall objectives; work is usually quite independent of others; operate within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree with 6-7 years of related experience.Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet and graphics. Personnel supervision experience with 2+ years.

 OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to work in a self-managed work team environment. Ability to work differing work schedules. Good written and oral English communication skills required.

Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.

MANUAL DEXTERITY: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS: Monday – Friday

TRAVEL: Minimal
