Position summary:

The Global Learning Services team supports e-learning and content management processes in Cornerstone and other systems, while also advising and assisting the Learning Community and business partners. As an Instructional Design Advisor, you serve as the main liaison between Roche and external vendors, requiring strong communication and customer service skills. You are responsible for developing and updating training content based on business needs, collaborating with subject-matter experts, and evaluating the effectiveness of training through learner feedback and performance outcomes.

The Opportunity:

Instructional Design

  • Analyze learning needs and collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan, develop, and implement high-quality eLearning content using authoring tools.

  • Create new e-content and enhance existing materials, ensuring functionality and engagement.

  • Troubleshoot issues before escalating to technical support, and support implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of learning content.

  • Stay current on eLearning trends and serve as a subject-matter expert for more complex learning projects.

Customer Engagement

  • Provide customer service related to eLearning, including resolving inquiries and managing requests.

  • Support system maintenance, project activities, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Global Learning Center of Excellence.

  • Advise on global learning systems and processes, supporting adoption of new learning approaches and guiding the learning community.

  • Maintain process knowledge, contribute to documentation updates, and ensure reliable service delivery.

Operations

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of learning tools, acting as a process superuser by sharing knowledge, escalating issues, and supporting training delivery.

  • Participate in or lead projects, while ensuring compliance with company policies, including data privacy regulations.

  • Support continuous improvement and service enhancement initiatives, ensuring operations align with KPIs and SLAs.

  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of learning content.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and customers within and across regions to ensure effective and consistent service delivery.

  • Contribute to the global People Support Solutions vision through alignment and shared learning.

Outputs & Deliverables

  • Drive performance improvement within PSS and ensure high customer satisfaction through quality service and stakeholder engagement.

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and educational materials such as explainer videos to support both HR and business audiences.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 2+ years of experience in Instructional Design 

  • 2+ years of experience with e-content authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Presenter, Articulate Storyline, Lectora, etc.)

  • Experience in a shared service center, preferably in a Learning/HR services environment.

  • Experience with Cornerstone or other cloud-based learning management solutions

  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects)

  • Fluent in English required

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and building partnerships 

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and to influence people

  • Strong functional knowledge of eLearning concepts: SCORM, AICC, ADDIE, etc.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability and project management skills  

  • Quality focus, with the ability to analyze and interpret outcomes of testing and applying the results 

  • Travel of up to 10%

  • Experience leading instructional design development projects within the Pharma / Medical Device industry.

  • Experience training/coaching other Instructional Design professionals.
