The Opportunity:

Maersk offers a great opportunity for university students seeking to gain hands-on experience in various business areas. As an intern, you will play an important role in supporting our teams across different functions and help drive the optimization of processes, data analysis, and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help the team in ensuring timely import/export cargo movement by meeting service delivery requirements.
  • Support the daily monitoring of container movements to report service issues or operational challenges.
  • Propose and support improvements in inland operations.
  • Assist in the resolution of container flow problems and avoid idle equipment.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of potential demurrage costs.
  • Aid in coordinating trucking, terminal, and line operations to keep shipments moving.
  • Support the team in keeping accurate data across systems
  • Contribute to process optimization efforts across the business.
  • Help the team with the expense management process for recovery of equipment, maintenance and repair.

We're looking for:

  • Interested students must submit a certificate issued by their university confirming that they are currently enrolled and indicating the degree program they are pursuing.
  • University student currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in International Trade, Customs, Logistics, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish (Intermediate/Advanced).
  • Basic Excel knowledge.
  • Proactive and eager to learn
  • A team player who is customer-focused, and eager to make an impact.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Approval from the educational institution: You must have the necessary approval from your university to carry out the internship as part of your academic curriculum. This is a mandatory requirement. #LI-MP1
