Description:
Monitors and helps facilitate Production team activities. Using a variety of tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment performs a series of operations at a proficient level to correctly assemble/test medical devices. Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the production floor to ensure that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. This role serves as a key point of contact for production team members, coordinates workflow, monitors performance, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules and production targets.
Assign tasks to team members based on priorities, skill levels, and production requirements.
Monitor workflow to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to established processes.
Resolve production issues promptly, escalating them to the Production Supervisor/Manager when necessary.
Assists Supervisor in resolving Production problems.
Instructs, trains, and coaches other Assemblers on procedures.
Assists Supervisor in delegating tasks and setting deadlines.
Train, mentor, and coach team members to ensure proper adherence to procedures and safety protocols.
Helps enforce all safety and processing procedures.
Understands and follows detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
Complies with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Quality System.
Enforce quality control processes and document any deviations or defects Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Supervisor.
Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend adjustments. Collaborate with supervisors and engineering teams to implement new tools, technologies, or workflows.
Enforce company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment
Set-up, adjust and operate equipment and instruments.
Provides hands on job function training to co-workers as needed.
Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Support Engineering with building prototypes, executing protocols and process development as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Minimum 5 years of experience in medical industry
Minimum 3 years of experience in leading positions
Good communication skills.
Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
Ability to follow written company procedures.
Ability to do assemble work Knowledge of measuring techniques including scales, rulers, US and metric measurement.
Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills to take instruction and provide feedback to engineering and/or management related to production issues.
Understanding of math.
