Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer II develops, implements, and improves manufacturing processes in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. This position conducts thorough analyses of both the design and manufacturing processes, focusing on enhancing producibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Tooling design and process development.
Assure product and process quality by designing test methods, testing finished products and process capabilities.
Analyze and resolve production issues efficiently.
Establish and perform verification and validation activities including design verification testing, process and packaging validation and shelf-life studies.
Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing. Evaluate and solve production problems.
Represent manufacturing in cross-functional teams/meeting.
Ensure new equipment and tooling meet installation and operational qualification requirements.
Target and implement cost reductions.
Train employees on current and new manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or other related field.
Minimum 4 years’ demonstrable experience
Specialized in medical device manufacturing equipment and processes, ensuring expertise in industry-specific standards.
Familiarity with industrial machine control concepts, encompassing motors, sensors, and other related electrical components.
Conducts production method analyses and offers proposals for enhancing or introducing new manufacturing processes.
Effective in presenting engineering investigations and findings to management, showcasing strong communication and presentation abilities.
Familiar with engineering statistical analysis, DOE, Process Capability, and similar methodologies using Minitab software, ensuring data-driven decisions.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills vital for collaborative engineering environments.
