Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment within the medical device industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime, and contributing to a safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely manner, minimizing production delays.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
- Calibrate, adjust, and test equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment or machinery.
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the maintenance department.
- Maintain and organize tools, spare parts inventory, and equipment manuals.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or medical device setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with automated systems and robotics is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO, GMP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts or overtime as needed.
