This role offers a superb opportunity to work with a small team to transform how infrastructure platforms are developed and handled with full software automation. This team is responsible for developing tools and platforms for users to procure and run cloud infrastructure. While we work closely with infrastructure, solving problems through software development is at our core.

Your Impact 

As a UX/UI Developer on our Cloud Infrastructure and Platform team, you will help design and develop easy-to-use, visually consistent user interfaces for internal platforms focused on integration and middleware. You will build and enhance UI components for developer and operations tools, collaborate with senior engineers and designers, and help streamline complex technical workflows into straightforward digital experiences.

You will collaborate with multiple teams, including senior developers, backend engineers, designers, and product managers. You will learn infrastructure, platform automation, and UI/UX procedures in a supportive, agile team. The team creates solutions that allow users to handle, monitor, and automate Cisco’s cloud infrastructure.

Design and develop intuitive, visually consistent user interfaces for internal cloud infrastructure platforms to streamline complex technical workflows for developers and operations teams. Translate wireframes and design prototypes into responsive front-end code using React, HTML5, and CSS to ensure a seamless, high-quality user experience across all management tools. Collaborate with backend engineers and product managers to integrate APIs and visualize operational data, enabling users to effectively run and supervise Cisco’s cloud infrastructure. Contribute to shared interface libraries and document UI components to establish a scalable design system that empowers the team to deliver accessible digital solutions. Transform the way Cisco manages its cloud-native services by building software-driven platforms that simplify infrastructure procurement and management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing UI components for middleware and integration management tools
• Translate wireframes and design prototypes into responsive front-end code using React, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
• Work with backend and middleware engineers to integrate APIs and visualize operational data
• Participate in usability reviews and support accessible, responsive design improvements across platforms
• Document UI components and contribute to shared interface libraries

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field, or 4+ years of equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development or UX/UI design roles.
• Demonstrated proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining web interfaces using React or a similar modern front-end framework.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and utilizing design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Sass, or CSS-in-JS to enhance maintainability and styling efficiency.
• Experience using Git for version control and collaborative development within agile teams.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, API management, or integration technologies such as MuleSoft or Kafka.
• Skilled in data visualization and dashboard design to create actionable insights for technical users.
• Solid ability to collaborate multi-functionally with a proactive eagerness to learn emerging infrastructure and platform tools.
