Customer Service Representative 

Operations Specialist 

On-site and in person office attendance position Mon-Fri

Office located in Escazu, Costa Rica

Job Responsibilities for Customer Service Representative: 

  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and telephone
  • Create, amend or transfer export bookings utilizing appropriate Systems and Guidelines
  • Communicate cross functionally to manage customer expectation, equipment and space availability and escalate to direct management as required
  • Promote utilization of OOCL online tools

Job Responsibilities for Operations Specialist: 

  • Manage all equipment function through group mailboxes, meeting company response times
  • Monitor inventories against bookings for cost efficient balance 
  • Communicate anticipated and actual equipment shortages 
  • Issue instructions to vendors for container movement 
  • Other equipment or operation needs as required

Preferred Skills: 

  • Customer service experience
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Troubleshoots problems regularly using analytical skills
  • Knowledge of international cargo container movement
  • Knowledge of regulatory transportation requirements (Customs, DOT, Hazardous, etc.)

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (CERF level B1 or higher)
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel experience
